About the event

On the Day of Contemporary Art on 12 October, several activities will take place in the fortress in which artists will explore the ‘Body of Language’, the title theme of the Fort Biennale 01, in various formats and in which the public will be closely involved.

Embodied writing practices

10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

In this workshop, Sunny Pfalzer invites you to involve your whole body in your thinking. The combination of theory and movement practice creates a unique approach to learning. The circular training takes place in 10-minute units: Starting with reading texts, followed by an intensive movement session and rounded off with a creative writing phase.

The workshop is aimed at anyone interested in an interdisciplinary way of working: Students, researchers, dancers who want to explore writing, writers who want to try out new ways of producing texts, and curious readers.

What to bring: participants should bring writing equipment (mobile phone, laptop, notebook, pen, etc.).

Registration: please register in writing by 7 October 2024 with a completed registration form.

#SOPHYGRAY: A feminist voice bot

from 6 p.m.

In this performance, visitors are invited to interact with the feminist bot #SOPHYGRAY. The artist Nadja Verena Marcin takes up conversations between #SOPHYGRAY and the exhibition visitors and, together with two performers quoting the film ‘Metropolis’, transforms the digital-imaginary space into a physical real space.
